Mom turns 70!

We all enjoyed a great weekend as a family. Mom turned 70 and we had a few surprises up our sleeve to help her celebrate.
First up we got the family together at our house. We had to drag mom out to the backyard so that she could enjoy the the May Pole that Allison and Madison created in our backyard

Since this was our first Maypole, we didn't do so well!
We quickly left the dancing fun and headed off to a private room at an Italian restaurant. We presented mom with the book that we created for her using old photos and well wishes from family and friends around the country.
After dinner, we were back at our house to enjoy a cake decorated in Lilacs and Lily of the Valley (mom's favorites). We also enjoyed our cake with old napkins, and hotel soaps as a party favor (you have to know mom to understand these ones!)

It was a really great weekend and I think mom enjoyed it as well!
