playdate fun

Shay and Alyssa were over the other day. The kids had a good time together, and of course by the end of the night no one wanted to leave!

They were all moving the entire time!

Sometimes it is hard to wait your turn

11 months

ok, this is the best I have. My little 11 month old has been little Miss cranky pants every time I try to take her photos.

I swear she does have happier moments, just not when I need them!

So, 11months. only a couple short weeks before her big birthday bash. Oh this one will be fun, I have some great things coming. So, what has she been up to this month?

Walking has been the big thing. She took her first steps right before 11months. Now she is just practicing them. She'll now walk without being prompted, but is still not sure of herself.

Other tricks include kissing everything. Mostly characters/babies in bookes. But also all of us, baby dolls and just about anything that looks like it needs a kiss. She mostly does a wide mouth kiss, but will sometimes do cute little smacking sounds with it. She even attempted to blow a kiss today.

She is a climber. Climbs on anything she can. She is a waver. So cute to see her wave at cars as they drive by or really anyone she sees. She squeals at puppies especially.

She loves to eat. Most days she can't get enough. She loves strawberries this summer. We went to go pick some and she was covered, and so was I.

Unfortunately she has also been sick again. A trip to the ER, a first for us. Turns out it was just Roseola. Apparently pretty common in babies. high fever and yucky rash though. Also a couple more teeth are about to pop out soon to make a total of 8.

She didn't quite hit 18lbs yet, little thing.

Dancing in the rain

We were on our way home from dinner the other night when the skies openned up and the rain really came down. It was such a hot day, that I thought we should cool off a little in a warm rain. I think Patrick thought I was a little nuts and poor Annika didn't know what to think!

Summer is officially here. We got to enjoy it a little before fall set in again this past week.

lazy weekend

We did a lot of this this past weekend. Everyone was tired. Included Annika with a high fever that turned into Roseola.

Annika is working on her steps. She still needs mom and dad to motivate her a little, but she is so stinking proud of herself when she takes her first independent steps.

At first it was just standing solo (if there is something in her hand, she feels a lot more steady!)

My little girl is walking. Well, not steady yet but she is taking steps on her own!

Fun playdate

Patrick and Shay have been hanging out at Gymnastics every week. They are now finished up, but we enjoy our time together. So this means playdates!
3 is such a funny age. I don't know if it is a boy thing, but Patrick has to be moving all. the. time.

Shay and Patrick had a blast jumping on our chair. This is why we don't buy expensive furniture!

the little girls enjoyed their time as well. Although I think Annika enjoyed the car rides a little more than Alyssa!

10ish months

I should have just done her 11 month photos early!

oh my this girl is awesome and smart. This month she has grown in leaps and bounds. She now waves, plays peek a boo, loves on anything soft she can get her hands on, talks on the phone and now her newest skill is pointing.

This month she is fighting her 5th ear infection, but I am hoping we are finally healthy after a very long winter season. Bring on the sun and Vitamin D!

She is so ready to walk and will walk with us, with barely one hand holding on. She has no interest in crawling and will only do so to get to the next place to stand up and walk. She pushes anything she can find. She is so loving as well. She'll put her head down and snuggle with just about anyone. At night she loves to snuggle in for a while then squirms towards her crib, lies down and goes to sleep without a fuss. This makes for some much lovelier night times.

She has slept through the night this past week, which was amazing, but regularly gets up about 1-2x's. Ryan espcially loves that he just has to lay her back down after eating.

She is so sweet with her brother, and him with her. She gives and gets lots of hugs and kissess. When she has a baby doll or soft item in her arms she'll curl up and pat it's back. So adorable!

I can't believe we'll be preparing for her 1 year party already. wow!



oh and she is weighing in at around 17.2 lbs. little thing!
