Too cute!

My sister was around a new baby with her 7yr old yesterday. She asked him if he wanted to see the baby. He replied "ok, but I really want to see C's baby!" Just too cute for words!

Ugg. I am certainly feeling about the size of a house lately... I get professional maternity pics taken this weekend. Hopefully the photog will use his special lens on me!

Baby Name update

Ok, so we did make a little progress on names this weekend. Nothing formalized yet, but then again it won't be until Baby Bliss makes an appearance and we are able to fit a name to a face. According to the poll for my name choices, Maya came in first and Myla was a close second. William and Karston tied for the boys. Thanks for all your votes. Now you have some new votes...

Check out the poll on the left. Just to explain the middle names a bit. Purtell is my grandmothers maiden name and I have always loved it. It is Irish. Cristine (not sure yet on the final spelling) is a family name from my side and R's sister's middle name. William is my dad's name. The other option for a boy middle name is Paul, R's dad and R's middle name.

Also the names listed are in no particular order nor are they completely agreed upon between R and I yet, just a few of each of our favorites.

So, vote away... Thanks!

Baby name

So naming this kid has proved to be most difficult. I apprectiate the votes on the poll. We may have to just go with which one is winning at the end! R said that names were our weekend project. We hope to have some combined ideas soon and you can vote away!

Purchased a couple of coming home outfits this past week. Can't beat the $5 clearance prices. I just couldn't bring baby home in yellow and green given that is all this kid has for now. So I had to get some cute pink and blue outfits instead. I figure I know enough pregnant friends, that the other outfit will still be put to good use!

After our showers we are taking stock of what we still need. Hard to know without having had a baby before. I think we have most things to at least bring baby home. We are still in search of an affordable glider rocker that is comfortable. That is the one big thing that I have a feeling we will certainly use a lot! Everyone has been very generous though and baby bliss is a lucky kid!

Baby Shower

Anne and Shawna threw me a shower this past weekend for friends and family. We had a blast and everything was great. They did an awesome job on the food, games and fun party favors. It was great to have everyone together and enjoying the fun things for baby!

Here is a picture with the hostesses, Anne and Shawna along with the tasty punch and yummy cupcakes.

Here is a picture of me with the sweater that my mom knit. She started it 30 years ago when she was pregnant with me! Now that is persistance.

Here is a picture with all the great things for baby. R was a big fan of the Cobber gear (our alum) and the Vikings bib.

10 years and still going strong...

...and now

10 years ago today, R and I had our first date. Neither of us can actually believe it has been 10 years. I have to say that it keeps getting better each year (especially the hair do's!). With so much to look forward to this year, I'm sure the trend will continue. We are certainly differant than we were 10 years ago, but also very much the same. Love you hon!

We had our midwife appt this morning. We are now having them every 2 weeks. HB was still in the 150's and going strong. I am measuring at 30 which is also right on target. All is looking good!

3.3 lbs!

This week, baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up.

wow!
