Beach bum: Annikas trip to Florida

Everyone keeps asking me why we flew to Florida for only a couple days? huh. beach. in February. with sun. a cute baby. a camera. and the beach. oh did I mention the beach?






Annika did just amazing. She charmed everyone on the flight over and back. She didn't sleep, but wasn't really fussy. She absolutely loved the water!

On our way home, we even stopped at the strawberry festival to see my sister Carrie!

Tutus and smiles

Oh, my dear little boy. I purchased a tutu skirt for Annika the other day for some fun photos. Well, the minute Patrick saw it in the bag he yelled "mommy! princess tutu!" and then immediately ran up to his dad and asked him to put it on.

He is one lucky little guy to have a dad so supportive of his interests. Ryan smiled, put it on and then of course I ran to grab the camera.

I used to edit out the ketchup from his face, but I've given up. Its always there.

I think Annika wanted her tutu back.

She has been clapping all weekend, it is the cutest thing to see. She gets so happy and excited about it too. I don't remember Patrick clapping this early.

She seems to be ahead with everything though. Last night I was giving Patrick a bath and set her on the floor next to the tub so she could play. While I was washing his hair I looked over and she was standing next to the tub. She had scooted herself over and then pulled herself up onto the tub wall. crazy girl!

6 months

half a year? really? I really do love this age though. She is my prime target for photos lately as she is so smiley and just sits there!

oh and Annika has an announcement. Guess what she got for her big 6month birthday?

2 TEETH! yep, look closely and you can see those little pearly whites poking through.
To celebrate her new teeth and her birthday, we broke out her first food.

the other night she also enjoyed her first tea party with Patrick and Lenny (the stuffed mosquito thing)

They have had so much fun together lately. She just lights up when he is around and he is enjoying her more and more as well

Patrick is a great big brother

Look how cute. He figured at bath time the other night he would climb in with Annika and help her wash her hair. *love*

Also thought he would sport her new sunglasses (for our upcoming trip to Florida)

Fun baby bum

Now that my girl can sit so well, I had to get some bum shots of her. Sure she'll thank me for these later on. Fun to see her happy and smiling since she was sick early this morning. She is being taken care of today by the fine folks at Children's Sick Care here at Mayo. Saw a nurse practitioner first thing who didn't find anything wrong. That is good news!

2011 starts off with a smile

Well, my baby girl is getting to be the perfect age for pictures, so I'll have way too many of her again.



We enjoyed our first day home without Ryan. I like this stay at home mom thing. We had a great day.
We had shots at the Dr. in the am, then a trip to Target, then home to play with Elizabeth and Juliette.

Home again today before work Fri and Saturday. Annika is home with me as well as she has a bit of a fever from the shots, poor girl!
