Our baby is 9 months old today. The time seems to be getting quicker between the monthly updates.

Here is a run down of life this past month:
Eating: Patrick is really into feeding himself now. When we try to feed him, he trys to grab the spoon and do it himself. So we have moved to more finger foods. His favorite this past week are peaches. He can't get enough of them. He also likes brocolli, cheerios, baby mum mums, sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce (really messy when feeding himself)and a few others. He is still nursing like a champ and just adds more food on top of it.
Moving: Patrick is fast. He is full on 100% crawling now. He is also fast at it. He'll crawl and then find something to pull up on. He pulls himself to standing on just about anything. (legs, stools, couch, chair, toys, tub) Once standing he sometimes makes a move, but usually waits for a hand to move him somewhere. He has stood on his own for a few seconds, but that is about it. He also falls much more gracefully by just sitting down now instead of falling. All this movement has created quite a few bumps on the head. He also learned to take the stairs this week. He climbed all the way up one whole flight (with daddy behind of course) We have only gated one room so far, but we'll see on the others.
Strangers Friends: Patrick is starting to become somewhat shy around different people at first. He warms up quickly, but always looks around to see if mom and dad are there. This also comes with more clingyness (is that a word?) It seems to be more towards me, but Ryan gets it too.
Sleeping: Do I have to write about this? This has been a really hard week, ask me next week about it. On a good note, Patrick has put himself back to sleep without nursing quite a few times. He even let me rock him back to sleep the other night. Unheard of last month (he would just nurse to sleep)
Growing: I'll have to update this after our Dr. check next week. But it is evident in his clothes. We have gone through just about all the 6-9 month clothes and are full into 12mo ones. Even some of those are small and he then wears 18mo. He also transitioned into his new carseat last week. It has been great to not lift him in and out any more!
Interacting: He is such a spitfire little kid. He'll throw a mini fit if we attempt to move him from danger. His fits sometimes include laying face down and whining or jumping his feet up and down while whining. It is hard not to laugh and think his is cute, we'll see if I say this when he is 4 and in the store doing this same thing.
He is starting to notice his friends more. He doesn't know what to think about sharing yet. Either he gives up the toy or tears it away from the other kid. He is still full of smiles, laughs, giggles and sweet little looks.
Talking: Dada, Mama, Baba are still a common place for him. Not sure if he is relating it to us or not, but he seems to at times. He definately knows his own name and will turn when it is called. If only he knew the word "No" as well! He has started something new this month though. hissing. Over the holidays he heard lots of hissing from Miss Cleo, and now when he sees her he hisses. It is the cutest thing. Ryan remarked that he'll be the kid in kindergarten that when asked what a cat says, will hiss!

Taking pictures in the studio is no longer an easy project. It has convinced me that wireless is the way to go. Patrick is way to interested in my cords now.
