89 days!

Yikes! I read on a baby board that I have only 89 days left until my due date. So much to do. I spent a really fun evening with friend Anne on Tuesday registering at Babies R Us. That little clicker is really addicting. It is so hard what we need vs. want. The want stuff was just too cute to pass up though! We also need to head to Target and get things updated a bit there. Maybe R can come along for that trip. He was a big fan of the clicker for our wedding.

Sounds like there are a couple showers in the works. Friends Anne and Shawna are throwing a little bash in February and then there is talk of a work one as well. I am super excited to get all my friends together. No need to have a reason for a party, but this is probably a great reason to hang out.

So, becuase I am a crazy person I have decided that there isn't enough change in my life right now. I have accepted a new position at Mayo. Crazy I know, but I am really excited about the switch and think the new challenges will be welcome. I start in a couple weeks already to get in as much time before I leave for baby.

89 days and counting down...baby here you come!!

27 Weeks

Ok, here is the belly pic for 27 weeks. I really did have the best of intentions to update these more often. Such is life!

Arizona trip

R and I had our last pre-baby vacation this past week. We joined our friends Ben and Marian at their wedding in Arizona. It was wonderful to escape the cold of Minnesota and enjoy a little sunshine. R was the best man and a handsome one at that! I got to just eat a lot of cake. It was a really fun week and we were sad to return to our "real" lives.

Is it 2008 already?

Holy crap! We are having a baby this year! Whenever I stop to think about this I feel a bit overwhelmed. Are we ready? What do we need to do? How can we live life to the fullest beforehand? YIKES! We are having a baby and it is coming quickly!

I just knew that once we hit the new year things would just fly. My friend A is already working on shower plans for February and I found out in Barnes and Noble reading yesterday that I am in the 3rd Trimester! How did I miss that transition?

I had my appt with midwife today. I am measuring exactly 25weeks. Heartbeat is 160(still a girl if you believe the tales...) Apparently joint pain, Braxton Hicks Contractions, trouble sleeping and nausea coming back are all quite normal! I have yet to find a symptom of pregnancy that doesn't have to do with the pregnancy, hormones, or growing baby! ;) surprise surprise.

We got a car seat this weekend so I can check that off the list. Most of the big stuff is finished (crib, dresser, car seat) Now to actually prepare for the baby! Is that possible?? Much easier to collect stuff. ;)

Hope 2008 has been good to all so far, Cheers to all for what is to come!!

Nursery pics

Ok, here are the first pics of the nursery. As you can see there is still a lot to do. Things to hang on the walls and organizing to be done. But it is a start!

Closet-Aren't the baby clothes fun?? ;)

24 Weeks

Well, here it is, almost Christmas. I have reached the 24 week mark. Baby is doing really well. I feel baby move just about every couple of hours. Others have had the opportunity to feel baby also. It is so fun to share with all. I am doing pretty good physically. I have started to have a bit of hip pain when I am on my feet too long or sleep weird. Lots of pillow's at night seem to help with it.

We are off to family for Christmas this year and thoughts of next year already fill our heads. It will be so fun having baby to look at the pretty lights on the tree and also to experience all the fun of Christmas. We will cherish this "quieter" Christmas this year!

Happy Holiday's to all!!

22 weeks

Hi all!
Life has been crazy busy lately. Getting ready for the holidays and getting ready for baby sure do take there toll. I am physically feeling great lately (except for not sleeping enough). The 2nd trimester energy has been great. With it come crazy, roller coaster emotions. I am laughing one minute and crying at a commercial the next. I read a baby book in Target the other day and almost had to leave the stores as the tears came. Crazy prego lady coming through!

Baby is doing really well. The kicks and rolls are getting stronger. Mom, sisters and niece have all felt movement along with R on a regular basis now. It is so fun to share with others.

We finally finished the floors and painted the nursery. I hope to have it together soon so I can post a picture of it. I really think it is going to be great.

Here is a 22 week picture from this weekend. R and I got our x-mas pictures taken from a friend of ours and she shot this belly one as well. Take care all!
