Ack! baby flips

So went to my first chiropracter appt last night to help with some hip and lower back pain I've been having. Upon checking on baby, she noticed that babies head was on the side and butt on the other side. I've had this suspicion myself the last week. This means baby is currently transverse (although this am, baby feels breech) not great news, but not terrible, as there are still 5 weeks for baby to flip around. I'll be working with this chiropracter a bit more since she does the Webster technique, which is a technique with a high percentage of fipping babies. Send good flipping vibes my way!

sum sum summertime!

I love being able to just pick up and say "park?" and we are off to our big backyard playground down the block. Patrick was a little upset when we got there though. "my swing?" he asked when he saw some other kids playing. We are just used to the place being ours and ours alone.

Apparently we can't leave home lately without his camera. Not sure where he got this from.

When you are 14 1/2 months pregnant and your son asks you to carry him home, you find a way. It hurts like hell, but for some 1 on 1 snuggle time, you find a way.

Memorial weekend 3: The Peppermint Twist

Hwy 12. It is a very familiar road for me since I grew up less than a mile from it. We would drive Hwy 12 to the cities often. We always passed this ice cream shop with large wooden cut out bears painted with crazy colors including an overuse of pepto bismal pink.

Well after 5 hours in the car on the way home, and a little boy who wouldn't nap, we decided to stop at this place on the way home. Why not? We needed to get out of the car. Ice cream is good, and they had a fenced in kid area. Sounded just about right.

The stack of hula hoops was a hit. What? you shouldn't hula hoop over 30 or over 33weeks pregnant??

You wouldn't believe this pink color, it hurt my camera and my eyes. And yes, I thought I was very apporpriately dressed for the occasion!

Memorial weekend 2: Lazy days

There is something about the lake that zaps your energy. Even Patrick slept well there. We think it is his special "B" that induces sleep, it even works on the big kids!

Perhaps we sleep well because we play hard?

Oh and doing your hair and showering are certainly optional. But at the lake, it doesn't matter!

Grilling out however is a must!

Memorial weekend 1

Well, we decided to be a little wild and crazy and took off about 6:30pm from our house on Friday night to drive all the way to SD. We finally made it about midnight and Patrick didn't even fall asleep until 10:15! yikes!
IMG_6560 IMG_6554
It was well worth it though because we had the opportunity to enjoy a full day on Saturday in the 90degree heat! It was hot enough for the hose, the sand and even a swim for mommy!
IMG_6569 IMG_6575
Patrick loves his cousin Madison and I think she really enjoyed a sand castle building partner as well!
