Shay comes to play

After lots of sickies running through Shay's house she was finally able to come play last week. Patrick and her got along great.

Well, at least until she decided she wanted to sit on the stool that he was sitting on!

Patrick laughed a lot that evening though. He especially loved showing off his dance moves for Shay.

They did really great taking turns with the toys for the most part. This cart was definitely a hit!

October Snow

On friday we enjoyed our first big and beautiful snow. Patrick fell in love instantly. He is such a copy cat and loves to do all the big people things.

Sometimes mom and dad need to take said big things away. This typically doesn't sit well. I still think he is kind of cute crying though too! ;)

Dad helped out though and gave him a Patrick sized tool that worked even better since it also doubled as a spoon.

Patrick went right to work "helping" daddy.

He also had a snack break once and while. We need to work on colors so he can pick out the yellow stuff!

I think he may have stayed outside all night playing if we let him. Now we need to figure out how to get mittens on his hands so they don't freeze!

Pumpkin Patch

Little boy.
check.

Awesome sweater.
check.

Camera.
check.

Pumpkins.
check.

We had a fun time at the pumpkin patch the other day. Patrick found a pile of mini pumpkin gourds and was in heaven at finding a whole pile of "balls" that he could throw. Once we steared him away from those, he found an apple tree with more "balls" that he could eat and throw!

He may be a little young for the pumpkin patch, but it was fun anyway!

And if you were trying to guess how big he is...
a little over 25 lbs, give or take a pumpkin.

Miss Cleo

Wow, what a long tough day. We woke up this am to Cleo just laying around and not acting herself. She began throwing up shortly after. We brought her into the vet only to discover that she was in kidney failure. They sent her home with fluids but not much hope. I left work early and gave her lots of loving. She was loosing her bladder control so we decided to not let her be sick much longer.
Ryan lovingly took her in. Before she left We got Patrick and he gave her some love and said Bye bye, Night Night kitty. Then I carried her out to the car giving her a little fresh air first. She perked up her ears and loved watching everything around her. It didn't take long and Ryan was with her. A lot of tears from us both today. Growing up on the farm cats died all the time, but then again we were lucky if they made it through one winter let alone 11. She was 15 and spent 11 years with us.
She loved to cuddle on our laps and made sure we never had a free lap without her on it. She did really well with Patrick letting him beat her up with minimal fuss. She wasn't terrible friendly with others, but was wonderful to us. We will certainly miss hearing her bell and feeling her kisses on our noses. Much love to Miss Cleo.
