Well closer to 18! Spent the last week in the Dominican Republic on an awesome baby moon with Ryan, Rachel and Matt. Super fun time. Everyone commented on our "Bambino's" I guess it's pretty obvious now! Had an appt with Sharon in Plainview this week. Some disappointing news... They may be shutting down the OB practice there which means no delivery for me. She is hoping they will wait until at least July/August but we should know more at the next visit what the next steps are. I'm not a huge fan of going back to Mayo so looking at all our options. Baby sounded great and is measuring right on track. On Sunday (almost 17 weeks) Ryan got to feel baby kick for the first time. It was the first time it was obvious to me as well. I've felt baby here and there, but not like that. Now everyday I feel the little kicks. It's the best part!

16 weeks
Had my 16 week check up today with Dr. Mitchell. Last time with him as I'll be switching over to the same midwife we had with Annika. Sharon Riester in Wabasha in a couple weeks. Babies heart rate was in the 150's and sounded good. I kept hearing this thumping sound though. Dr. Mitchell asked me if I knew what it was. I had no idea, and he said that was baby moving and kicking the Doppler! I guess we have another active one on our hands although that doesn't surprise me a bit. My bets are on a boy at this point.
Heading out on our babymoon tonight. 6 days in sunny and beautiful Domincan Republic. We will be staying at the Grand Bahia Principia Punta Cana. Rachel and Matt are there all ready and we will be joining them for the second half of their honeymoon. I miss the kids already but they will have a blast with Nonnie and GB. We just need to get on the plane and escape the cold and snow coming our way.
Started buying a few baby things. just some little outfits, blanket etc. Still deciding on nursery furniture and what else we may need. Luckily we have some leads on used items, so shouldn't be to hard to put together.
No names yet. I found the name Caidah the other day and liked it. Also like Izak for a boy. I'm sure that will all change though.

12 weeks
The weeks are all ready flying by. Health updates. Still very sick. My day is a little like this:
7am wake up, throw up.
7-8am try to function to help kids get off to daycare and school
8-9 or 10 sleep again or try to eat breakfast
10-3 doing pretty good, up and down but functioning
3pm pick kids up from daycare/school and try to make it home without sleeping
4pm sleep, 5pm sleep, 6pm sleep, 7pm sleep oh and try to get dinner in there somewhere.
7-8pm get kids to bed
8pm try to work
10:00 sickies hit again
11:00 back to bed for the night.
So, a lot of sleeping for the most part. It has been rough to say the least, much tougher than the other two. Ryan has been amazing and really stepping in to help. The kids have also been great. Patrick will be playing and will stop by the couch and give me little kisses on my head, such a sweetheart. Annika will try to crawl in for cuddles and loves to pet my belly and ask how big baby is. Today she wasn't even awake and said "mommy baby is as big as a plum today!" They are both super excited. I'm excited to start feeling better.

Oh little baby. You are making mama sick sick sick. Mornings can be rough, but not near as bad as nights. Ugg, laying on the couch is my norm now. Not moving for fear I may loose it all. And the exhaustion, oh boy the exhaustion. I'm getting anxious to tell people all about you. Soon soon I'll see that tiny heart beating. I told Patrick this morning that I was sorry I was so sick. He replied "Don't be sorry mommy, it's ok. I love you." What a dear!

The littlest (not kidding this time) bliss
So, here we go again. Should be old hat but feels so new at the same time. Memories long buried come streaming back. October 13, 2014. I didn't think it would happen, I really didn't. I thought I was too old, my time had past, I needed to move on.
I told Ryan after I got to work. I was shaking and scared to tell him. Not because we didn't want this but because life as we knew it was gone, we would be forever changed.

Last day of Preschool
You have grown so much and learned so much. There were bumps along the road trying to understand different personalities and interacting with them. But there were great joys like your love for learning your letters and sounds and now wanting to write. We made a tough decision half way through this year to pull you from one preschool and place you into another. This decision was made because we want you to know that we will always support the love and care of all people not just what someone's interpretation of the bible may be. You adjusted well, made new friends quickly and really made the transition just fine. I love how thoughtful and inquisitive you are. Always thinking of others and yet proud to stand up for what you believe in. I'll be the one with big fat tears your first day of kindergarten. But tears of joy as your dad and I work to give you your wings.
