I have to remember to hand the camera off once and a while. Here are a couple with me and my girl.

We have had a really rough winter. Lots of running noses, goopy eyes, throwing up, fevers, coughing and what not. I am soooo ready for spring. I want to breath in fresh clean air and open my windows and let the sickies out! This past week was no exception. With both kids sick, it has left us all without sleep for far too long. Here is to hoping we are finally on the mend!

This kid just cracks me up. Here are a couple gems lately.

Ryan eats a caramel roll and asks Patrick if he would like some. "no thanks, it's too good for me"

or just this morning when he looked up at our sun catcher and wondered why there were no rainbows. He figured it must be because the sun's batteries ran out.

oh and see this kid? He has been dry at night for quite a few weeks now so we are now completely diaper free!!! our pocketbook thanks him.

If you are wondering. I rescued the dolls from the first pic by the time I took the second. And what is that in the drawer? A bike pump, some coasters, misc toys and who knows what else!

7 months!

yep, 7 months going on 17. Will someone tell my baby that she is supposed to stay little forever?

What's happening this month?


Well for starters my 7month old thinks that crawling is probably not the easiest way to get where she needs to go. She would prefer to walk. Really, who said crawling needs to be a stage? All she needs to do is find an object or a willing set of hands, pull herself up and then just walk. at 7 months. ugg. crazy girl. You should see how efficient she is at this lately. That's me trying to get her to just sit for her 7 month photos.

We had to take her into the dr. this past week for a cold that turned into a double ear infection. Poor baby. She is better now, but it's been a long sleepless week. We did weigh her though.
16.5 lbs! Not sure on how long she is though. She is in mostly 6-9month clothes now.

Patrick enjoyed our little photoshoot as well. He got creative and wanted to get a different angle.

no, he didn't shoot that! I'm sure he'll get there though. We just need to work on his focus!

Other Annika happenings lately?
She is now eating a bunch of solid foods. Sweet Potatoes, Carrots, Squash, Peas, Pears and Applesauce. She does really well with all of them. She even tried out a sippy cup the other evening and did great.

She is also working on talking more lately. DaDa and GahGa are some firsts. Although Ryan swears she said "Hi Dada" last night.

She is super fun and we love all her giggles!


oh and if you wondered. I've been getting crafty lately. Those lovely headbands are from me!

Beach bum: Annikas trip to Florida

oh boy.. can I just fill this with photos?

Everyone keeps asking me why we flew to Florida for only a couple days? huh. beach. in February. with sun. a cute baby. a camera. and the beach. oh did I mention the beach?






Annika did just amazing. She charmed everyone on the flight over and back. She didn't sleep, but wasn't really fussy. She absolutely loved the water!
