26 weeks
Somehow I managed to totally miss my 25week photo. Here is a shot of my friend Rachel and I. She is due in only a week or so. We had the joy of experiencing our first pregnancies together and now this one. Always nice to have someone with whom to share all this craziness!

our new morning
Mornings are always hit or miss for me. It depends on the night I/we have had and on my temperament when I wake up. Last week our mornings consisted of Patrick coming into bed with us early and then tossing and turning until we frustratingly just got up at his urging.
This week though.
Is different.
Patrick has woken up for 3 days at 6:05. exactly. He cries out "Mama", I run to the bathroom while Ryan shuts off his alarm (set for 6:10) and picks Patrick up. I hurry back to bed to see a small boy ask in a sleepy haze for "mulk"
I hand over the goods and roll over to snuggle in while we hear the shower begin. At some point the "mulk" is empty and gets put back. Patrick then works like a puppy to find the perfect place to rest in the midst of my nest of pillows, blankets and my ever growing belly.
Once he settles in, we both drift back to sleep.
I hear his breath in my ear, sometimes feel it on my face, I barely feel my arm as it is usually trapped somewhere between him and the blankets/pillows. I hear the cat run to check out the birds that are beginning to awake and then she attempts to play with my remaining fingers or toes while I keep her away from Patrick's. I hear Ryan finish his shower, begin to shave and eventually creep downstairs for some "Ryan" time.
I do fall back asleep though, I think. and when I awake, I look to see the most beautiful face next to me. A face I remember so well, because when he is sleeping he reminds me of the face I first met almost 2 years ago. Ryan comes in to wake us. Doesn't seem easy these days as I could lay there forever soaking in the warmth.
but finally, Patrick sits up and says "mommy get up" I don't want to. then he gives me a gentle push and so begins our day.

Easter day
What a gorgeous day we had for Easter this year. We woke up with Patrick enjoying his basket from the Easter bunny, then we went off to church dressed in our Sunday best. We had the pleasure of sitting next to family and Sophia so that was a real treat that made the service fly by!

Then Patrick enjoyed an easter egg hunt outside at the church with cousins, Madison, Caden and Luke. We came back to find more Easter eggs at our house. Patrick found one with some coins and a dollar bill inside. He immediately ran to find his Piggy bank to put the coins in. He wasn't as excited about putting the doller in though and instead ran to the garbage to through it away! Silly boy didn't know that it was more than just paper!

We did get in a couple family photos before dinner. And then enjoyed lots of food, fun and even walking outside that afternoon. Patrick was so sleepy on our walk that he got out of the stroller, put his blankie on the sidewalk and laid down on it. Funny kid.

Easter Pics take 2
25 weeks
(insert photos here!) hopefully I'll get one soon!
We had an appt today with the midwife. All is looking good. I am measuring around 26 weeks so a little ahead, but this can vary week by week. Baby sounded good with heart rate in the 160's. It's a girl according to the old wives tales, then again so was Patrick up until the last week.
The hip pain is all normal, more walking should continue to help. With all the nice weather, we'll take advantage of this while we can!
I am up about 13lbs total (probably the last time I'll actually record my weight!)
Not much else to report, but July is seeming to arrive quickly!
